After the weekends games I just had to comment on the most talked about event of the weekend. Which is the Vincent Kompany tackle or challenge depending on the way you look at it.
I have to admit first hand I’ve always been a proponent of good tackling. EG as long as the player is in control and actually wins the ball then it’s all good.
The ref on the day ruled it dangerous and a red card offence.
After viewing the incident several times from different angles I still feel however that the red card was harsh. But the rules of the game apparently do state that going into a tackle when a player has both feet off the ground is deemed a dangerous act and thus got the red card.
For me I don’t think City will get the card dropped but I do feel for the game and tackling in question.
